Well i had this vest since i was in Jr. high, i hardly wore it, so since Denim vests are in style, i decided to make my own. I'm not going to spend $30 bucks on a denim vest.. so here it is.
This is my very first tutorial :)
i love sewing, and well i really have fun and when i have many things on my mind, this helps a lot.
Cut the sleeves!
For me, i prefer to leave the denim frayed after the sleeves have been cut for a true look of cut denim
If the sides are to big for you, measure how much you want to cut so it can be well perfected.
like this..
This machine is my very own (: heheh this is my baby.
make sure to leave enough threat when you sew in the machine so you can make at least 3 knots.
Cute the sides, once is done sewed.
If you have left over fabrics, decide to make a design on the back
of the denim vest, to make it an alive look
i Sewed them together!
Made a heart shape...
Make sure to use pins if you are a starter in sewing! trust me it helps a lot.
Make sure to get a similar fabric color thread.
One Hint: Be patient, when you use the machine when you do any type of design, because you never know that machine can beat you on the speed it has and you will mess it up.. take your time.
Is worth the wait.
tadaa!
cut the ends. . too look like a worn out look
I decided to put jewels on both of the sides.. not too much but it still looks better than it was before.
Some pics :)
Keep your style for Spring and Summer! :D
Im so weird..
I suck at modeling.. Oh well!
